About the Media Specialist

Charlotte Owen

I have been a teacher since 1996.  For the first 9 years, I taught first grade in Shelbyville, TN.  In 2006 - 2007, I taught second grade for the first semester here at Harvest School.  During the second semester of that same year, I became the librarian here.

I have a son and a daughter.  My husband is a 4-H Agent in Lincoln County, TN.  I enjoy being a librarian because it’s exciting to see children discover the love of reading.

MEDIA HELPERS – Please consider helping with Specials Projects in the library.  The tasks to help out with are varied and include helping students find materials they need, monitoring student self check-in and out, shelving books, mending books, and etc.  We have ongoing projects such as cataloging new books and processing them which includes stamping and labeling these books to ready those for check out.
